SERVER COMPUTER REQUIREMENTS:

In order to run the DrawingSearcher "Server" application, the "Server" should meet the following Minimum system requirements:

Computer: 100% PC-compatible, 512MB of RAM, 100 GB HDD and 2.4+ GHz Quad Processor. Operating System: Minimum 32 bit Microsoft Windows XP, and Windows 2003 Server.

Recommended Option:

Computer: 100% PC-compatible, 4GB of RAM, 1 TB HDD and 4th Gen Intel® Core™ i7 processor.

Operating System: 64 bit. Windows 2008 r2 Server, Windows 2012 Server, Vista, Windows 7 Professional, Windows 8, and Windows 10.

Storage: At least 20GB of free disk space for; Index, PNG preview images, PDF, and/or DWF files.

The above are only general recommendations and user satisfaction with any particular configuration will be dependent on the number of drawing files to be processed. The search speed is largely independent on the Server's processor speed. If a large number of drawings are to be indexed (25,000+), then a high performance workstation class computer should be dedicated to the Server task. Note: For Vista or Windows 7 Professional, the application should be started under the "Administrator" account.

CLIENT COMPUTER REQUIREMENTS:

Requirements are dependent on configuration choice of PDF or DWF file type for viewing drawings Full Screen.

"Client" computers using PDF: As a Web Thin Client this option is the easiest to implement. Only requirement is the native PDF viewer supplied with PC or Smart Device, including; Microsoft OS computers, iPad, tablet, or smart phone.

"Client" computers using DWF: should have the following minimum system requirements:

Computer: 100% PC-compatible with a 1+ GHz Processor (including Microsoft Azure)

Operating System (OS): Microsoft Windows 2000, XP, Vista, Windows 7, or Windows 8

Web Browser: Microsoft Edge, Google Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer 6.0 or higher, Apple Safari, etc.
